Abelardo and his fiancée Hortensia toast for their future happy marriage. Mr. Garcia, one of their guests, is desperate and thinks of hiding in the living-room next door to commit suicide. The two lovers, the house-keepers, some friends and neighbors -among which are a coronel, a priest, a Russian and a forensic surgeon- form the gallery of characters of an absurd plot and full of original blows of humor.
