The calm life of Juan and Julieta, a bourgeois marriage from the countryside, falls apart when the dead body of Alicia’s (Julieta’s sister) boyfriend appears. Juan becomes the prime suspect and Julieta is thought to be his next victim in order to get Alicia’s favors; but a series of characters that will make the plot thicken: those are an old friend called Carlos, his lover Mari, and a priest.
RELEVANT FACTS: The Teapot is a great example of ludicrous intrigue and situation comedy. It was produced by Televisión Española in 1979 and has been played for decades in the most important theaters.
Mihura, a playwright, journalist and screenwriter, is considered the main inventor of the Theatre of the Absurd, and the most outstanding comedian in Spanish language through the 20th century. Mihura wrote the scripts of more than twenty-five movies, among which stands out Welcome Mr. Marshall, film directed by Luis García Berlanga in 1952.
