In a dystopian society that is barely distinguishable from our own, taxes are not paid with money but with the most valuable resource: blood. Alan, a cynical, battle-hardened veteran, works for “Bloodbuster”, a ruthless state organization in charge of collecting these vital payments. But everything changes the day his fate crosses paths with Anissa, a member of “Robin Blood,” a clandestine organization that donates blood freely to those in need. Anissa, willing to sacrifice her own life to save others, awakens in Alan something he thought was long dead. When he learns that Anissa has been imprisoned and her young son has been left alone, Alan feels compelled to help them. However, this decision plunges him into a profound existential conflict: helping her would mean betraying everything he has believed in until now, including his colleagues at Bloodbuster, and facing a system he begins to see as corrupt and ruthless. Determined to follow his heart, Alan commits to protecting Anissa and her son, but soon finds himself surrounded by former allies who have now become enemies. To complicate matters further, the relentless Emozy Sziliagy, a corrupt and manipulative politician, blackmails Alan with a dark secret from his past: the death of a child soldier during the war, a haunting event that continues to torment him. As the plot progresses, the relationship between Alan and Anissa’s son deepens, and the story becomes an exhilarating succession of power intrigues, unrestrained action, and ethical dilemmas.
