Don’t ask for anything (No pidas nada)

A perfect balance between a police thriller full of mystery and a journalistic report, written with the exquisite pen of the renowned Reinaldo Sietecase, an outstanding Argentine journalist and writer. The story follows an investigative journalist who travels to Rio de Janeiro to uncover a secret pact between Argentine and Brazilian military forces during the Argentine dictatorship. A novel based on real events that captivates like a spy thriller. Ideal for co-production in LATAM!

A thriller that conjures two parallel plots. On one hand, that of Tano Gentili, an Argentine journalist disillusioned with his profession, who is drawn into a dark investigation about the mysterious suicides of several former military officers and repressors of the Argentine dictatorship. Following a possible connection between these deaths and a secret lodge, Gentili goes in search of two former military men who survived and exiled themselves in Rio de Janeiro. Alongside his Brazilian colleague, Maria, they embark on a dangerous and unorthodox search for the truth, including encounters with a feared paramilitary body that controls a major favela, to investigate the pact that existed between Argentine and Brazilian military forces during the Argentine dictatorship.

Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires, lawyer Mariano Márquez receives a visit from Fernanda Minetti, a congresswoman and daughter of disappeared persons, who asks for his help in gathering evidence to incriminate General Martín Belziuk, accused of killing her parents during the dictatorship. There isn’t enough evidence to convict the military officer, but that is a boundary Márquez is accustomed to crossing. He takes on the case and begins his own investigation, seeking his own justice.

Both stories, seemingly unrelated, conceal an unexpected connection and reveal the deep scars of a history of violence and corruption that has yet to be clarified.
