A luxury mansion. Seven lifelong friends, all wealthy, and all seemingly perfect. But among them lie unresolved issues, buried secrets, and rivalries that have lingered since their high school days… Everything comes to light when, one by one, the women begin to disappear from the mansion. Or perhaps they never left it? A thrilling story with a female perspective, a captivating setting, and unforgettable protagonists.
Seven friends who attended high school together organize a reunion twenty years later: Piera, Tatti, Deda, Giovanna, Lucia, Maria Luisa, and Amanda. The chosen location is Villa Camerelle in Tuscany, the house where they celebrated the end of high school. The reunion is strictly for them—no husbands, no children, and even no mobile phones. All of them are affluent and were popular in high school, but no amount of money or fame can hide the unhappiness they each conceal in their own ways.
Unexpectedly, Piera, who was responsible for renting and preparing the villa, has not arrived to welcome them. Initially, they assume something unforeseen has happened, so they proceed to catch up and reminisce about their past while secretly evaluating and studying one another.
Tatti discovers a book detailing the villa’s history, revealing its bloody past: a young woman was murdered and dismembered by her fiancé, and another visitor was also killed. Despite their apparent camaraderie, old envies, resentments, and hidden secrets resurface—like the rivalry between Deda and Giovanna, which now seems to have turned into attraction. Above all, they are haunted by the memory of Rita, an eccentric classmate whose story deeply unsettles them.
Amid this cocktail of friendship, lies, and resentment, small strange incidents begin to occur: Deda’s underwear goes missing, strange noises echo throughout the house, and an eerie energy pervades the atmosphere. Things take a truly sinister turn when Deda disappears. The friends search for her, but when hours pass without her reappearing, their concern grows. Giovanna disappears the next day, making it impossible to believe they left of their own accord. The women sense they are being hunted by something—or someone. Maria Luisa sets out to get help but vanishes after stepping outside the house. Only three friends remain, trapped in a house where the walls seem to close in on them.
