Alberto M. Caliani is a renowned Spanish writer and screenwriter. In the 1980s, in addition to drawing comics, he worked as an editor for various magazines, and since leaving the business world in 2003, he has devoted himself entirely to writing.

With his first novel, in 2013, he reached number 1 on Amazon and won the 2013 Pandemia Award. He has also received the double HISLIBRIS award for Best Historical Novel and Best Spanish Author in 2021.
In addition, in 2024, he co-wrote the script for the audio fiction prequel to Red Queen, alongside Juan Gómez-Jurado.
