Fernando Lalana is one of the most awarded and prolific Spanish writers. Mainly dedicated to children and young adult literature. He has published more than 120 titles. He studied Law at the University of Zaragoza, but he has been dedicated fully to writing. His works has been adapted to cinema with great success among audience and critics.
Lalana is also passionate about theater. He has worked as an actor, director and theatre technician for independent companies for two decades. He was also founding member of the company Teatro Incontrolado de Zaragoza. In this period, he was awarded with Premio Nacional de Interpretación “Arcipreste de Hita” for non-professional theatre.
He has written tales and stories for more than twelve anthology collection books and he has published two of his works in weekly installments.

Lalana is a critically acclaimed award winning and best selling author, with over two and a half million readers. He has been run-up finalist for Premio Barco de Vapor and he has received several awards as the Gran Angular three times, Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil or Cervantes Chico for life time achievement.
He was also awarded the Pier Paolo Vergerio Award (Italy), the Lazarillo Award of Literary Creation, or the Premio Jaén of Children’s Literature and the Premio Fetén to the Best Children’s Drama Book of the Year.
