Juan Bolea is a Spanish writer and journalist. He studied Philosophy and Letters at the Universidad de Zaragoza and specialized in Modern History. Since 1984 he has worked as a professional journalist in publications like Heraldo de Aragón, Interviú, Gente y Viajes, Onda Cero, Tiempo or TVE. He has also worked as an institutional representative.
Currently, he works as a director of several festivals and workshops, and as jury in literary contests.

Juan Bolea has published more than a dozen novels. With The Brothers of the Coast (Los Hermanos de la Costa), the author took a turn towards the genre of thriller and towards the international landscape. It was the first one of the books about Martina de Santo, a police inspector who solves complex cases. The saga has received magnificent critiques.
Juan Bolea was awarded with the Premio de Novela Corta Alcalá de Henares.
