Juan Ramón Biedma is a Spanish writer who studied Law at the University of Sevilla. He has worked as a radio announcer, an editor for the publishing house Alrevés, a screenwriter and a film critic. He has also collaborated on various publications in different media outlets and anthologies.

Juan Ramón Biedma has been awarded the Dashiell Hammett Award and the NOVELPOL Award for best crime novel, received Special Mention from the Jury at the “Semana Negra” of Gijon, the Valencia Award for Noir Novel, the Crucedecables Award, and the La Gangsterera Award for best crime novel. He was also a finalist for the Silverio Cañada Memorial Award, among others. His novels have been translated to Portuguese, Greek, German, Russian and Turkish.
He is the author of The Sound of Your Hair (El sonido de tu cabello), which has been the recipient of the Fernando Quiñones Novel Unicaja Award, the NOVELPOL Award for best crime novel, a finalist for the Black and Mortal Award for best crime novel and was nominated for Best VLC Noir Novel.
