Julen Azcona is a journalist and writer from Navarra. He graduated in Journalism at the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona, and he has a master’s degree in Organizational Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s degree in Teaching from the University of La Rioja.
Azcona has worked as an editor in TV and press, in publications such as Diario de Noticias de Navarra or Miradas de Cine.
The author is well-known for his movie reviews, which have been included in a compilation book created by the magazine Miradas de Cine.

Julen Azcona received the Accésit Award of the Euskera Literary Contest for New Writers. His debut novel, Lodo, has been awarded the Apolo Award for Best LGBTIQ Book in Spain and it’s been included in many articles about essential LGBT+ literature, in magazines such as GQ or fantastic mag.
