Leticia Sánchez Ruiz is a writer, journalist and a narrative professor in Spain. She studied Information Sciences in the Pontifical University of Salamanca and started working as an editor and literary critic for different magazines. She has also published short stories in the Oviedo Diario and El Comercio. She currently lives in Oviedo and works as a novelist.

The novel, When it is Winter in the North Sea by Leticia won the Cubelles Noir Award. Also, Leticia Sánchez Ruiz has received the Tétrada Literaria Short Novel Award, the Emilio Alarcos International Novel Award and the Ateneo Joven de Sevilla Award.
The theater company El callejón has produced her play Hermanas since 2018. All her work has been translated into Italian.
