Miguel Ángel Hernández (Murcia, 1977) is a teacher of Contemporary Art at the University of Murcia (Spain). He is the co-founder and director of CENDEAC (the Murcia Centre for Documentation and Advanced Studies in Contemporary Art) and he has made research residencies in prestigious universities such us Cornell and Columbia. Hernández is the author of stories, flash fictions, essays and art criticism. As an art critic, he has contributed to journals such as Manifesta Journal, Exitbook, Aut- Aut, Estudios visuales, Debats or Revista de Occidente and written numerous papers on contemporary art and visual culture. He has been a columnist and contributor with several daily newspapers (La Verdad, La Opinión, El faro, La Razón).
RELEVANT INFORMATION
His first novel, Escape Attempt, was published by Anagrama (March, 2013).
His last novel, The feeling of danger, has been finalist of the Premio Herralde, won by authors as important as Roberto Bolaño.
