In an old family mansion, the life of a family is observed by the elder grandmother, who remains pinned to her memories and worries about her descendants, especially about her unscrupulous son-in-law. Because of the greed and obsessive materialism of the family, the old woman makes a drastic decision.
RELEVANT FACTS: Benavente won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1922. He treated all the theatrical genres and developed a broad gallery of human characters. Many of his plays have been taken to cinema with success and many versions for TV have been made. Benavente’s dialogues are excellent, filled with irony. He has been compared to Oscar Wilde.
