Eight teenagers and one deadly experiment.
Hugo, Esther, Jacobo, Diana, Alvaro, Cristian, Andrea and Hector, a group of 8 high schoolers who aren´t particularly interested in reading, are selected to be a part of a school conducted experiment run by Professor Vidal. The experiment seems simple: they must agree to go on a 7-day retreat with the professor to a house with no connection whatsoever to the outside world. This is all in hopes that, through an intense therapy of images and sounds, they can boost their interest in reading. They didn’t expect this seemingly harmless, school-run getaway to actually put their lives in danger and provoke a drastically violent reaction within the teens.
With each passing day, the group begins to get smaller and smaller as they are murdered one by one. Nobody knows who the killer is, and the wariness quickly rises as the students accuse one another. They finally discover what has brought them together and it has absolutely nothing to do with their indifference towards reading.
The story begins here: Diana´s brother was always harshly bullied. What the members of this group all have in common is that at some point, they too were the silent witnesses to these events or, even worse, the perpetrators. Diana feels that they have each contributed and have a fault in her brother’s suicide and she has strategically brought them here to avenge her deceased brother. Of course, all of this would not have been possible without the help of her publicist, who she hired to create all of the fake advertising to carry out the experiment. The publicist’s dead body is found by the police, who begin an investigation against the clock. Will the police get to them on time before they all kill each other? There is one major setback: nobody knows where they are. Diana will get some pleasurable revenge by letting the effects of the therapy flare-up and take their toll on their behaviors, turning them aggressively against each other.
Thanks to the police, only one fortunate soul survives. But the horror is far from over, as he cannot escape from the recurring memories of those days. He sees the weapon that was used to kill one of his classmates in his nightmares and he feels he must go back to the house, in hopes to free himself from this past. There, he discovers the weapon that he has been seeing in his dreams.
