Elections are right around the corner. In a certain village, a deputy cannot be reelected to his position so he recommends his brother-in-law and entrusts the process to the town hall secretary. However, the brother-in-law has already committed to another commune. The secretary is desperate. In an attempt to secure the future political post, he decides to replace the brother-in-law with a bean vendor with the same name, but things do not go as planned.
