In Sonora, Mexico, trans people are the target of a pimp willing to invest large fortunes to operate on them with the best doctor in Colombia. The operations are not easy, as the goal is to make them look identical to the most famous actresses of the Mexican golden age of cinema.

Twenty-five-year-old Eleazar Sepúlveda wants to be a detective, but since there is no university degree for private investigators or detectives in Mexico, he decides to teach himself, inspired by the characters in his favorite novels. With the help of his mother Mariquita, who gives him a fake university degree so that he will “act in accordance with the law”, and his uncle, owner of a boxing gym, Eleazar finds a way to make his way in the world of crime, even if he becomes the mockery of Zúñiga, a local policeman who continuously hinders his efforts.
One night, Patricia, a transexual woman identical to the actress Miroslava, runs away from the murderer and crosses paths with Eleazar who, from that moment on, decides to protect Patricia and focus on discovering the murderer by digging into Patricia’s past.
This is the starting point of an investigation that brings to light a large network of corruption.
