Mercedes and Jerónimo are a well-off marriage living in a luxurious chalet with their servants, Teresa and Jacinta. They have been living enclosed for ten years, and they hope for something extraordinary to happen in their lives. One day, a young woman appears with the address of the chalet and the personal data of the protagonists. This is the trigger to one of the funniest and most surrealist comedies of Mihura.

Mihura, a playwright, journalist and screenwriter, is considered the main inventor of the Theatre of the Absurd, and the most outstanding comedian in Spanish language through the 20th century. Mihura wrote the scripts of more than twenty-five movies, among which stands out Welcome Mr. Marshall, film directed by Luis García Berlanga in 1952.
