A boot camp for young misfits.
Fifteen troubled youths, aged 16 to 21, are kidnapped and taken to a camp on a remote island to be subjected to ” Restart “, a brutal underground experiment in social re-education. The camp is the creation of Isaac Ripstein, an entrepreneur with a privileged brain whose daughter committed suicide at the age of twelve because of bullying.
These youths don’t know each other, but they are highly problematic: a neo-Nazi teenager, a son of Muslim immigrants who dabbles with Islamic terrorism, a rich boy who prostitutes his maid and terrorizes his girlfriend, a young influencer who only cares about money and tramples her friends…
Different backgrounds and social classes with the same tendency: to wreak havoc. They will have to work as a team to escape and take revenge.
RELEVANT DATA: Restart (Reinicio) is an original project for a TV series with some very attractive elements: it is a teen action thriller with hints of horror, a very trendy theme and with the potential to be produced in any location with the sole condition of it being remote and inaccessible (such as an island).
Vicente Peñarrocha is a Spanish screenwriter with a long professional career. During his career, Peñarrocha has received numerous awards, such as the Best Foreign Film Award at the New York Independent Film Festival, the Best Director and Best Screenplay awards at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival, and a nomination for the Goya Award for Best New Director.
He has worked as a screenwriter for the film Nómadas, has directed international film projects such as Fuera del cuerpo, Arritmia and María Montez, as well as the TV series Hay alguien ahí, Ángel o Demonio and La Fuga. He is also the co-creator of the TV series UPA Dance, one of the most successful series on Spanish television.
