The action takes place in France, during the years of the World War II onwards until 1943, and from 1946 to 1947, two historical moments that will gradually confront and complement each other. The protagonist of the story, Phillipe Batelier, is a musician that has collaborated with the German occupants with his silence, with his refusal of accepting that art always has some kind of commitment.
