In the small town of Villalgancio, the corrupt politician Acilso Arrambla is a mayor and local cacique at the same time. He is notified that an inspector will arrive to analyze his administration and accounts. Following his natural tendency, he plans on buying the inspector’s opinion with all types of lavishes and honors. The political plot is crossed over with a love story with the arrival of a man and his young nephew who intends to propose to the mayor’s niece but they are mistaken for the inspectors. When the truth comes to light, a series of complications take a toll on the lovers and the position of many characters.
