Mariano José de Larra, one of the writers of Spanish Romanticism, commits suicide after being abandoned by his lover, Dolores Armijo. The action takes place in the moment before the shooting that ends the life of the journalist and recreates the most relevant moments of his life: the intrigues and power struggles in which he was involved since he wanted to save his country, the censorship he suffered, and a love story that ends in a serious disappointment.
