Domingo sees Ana on the street and follows her home. As they talk, the tension builds up as if they were about to reach a conclusion like confessing their love or passion. But this tension stays in suspense and they will have no physical relationship. Not even Ana’s husband, who walks by and then leaves right away, will interrupt them.
RELEVANT FACTS: This story is best suited psychologic minimalistic-style script-heavy movie. The apparent feeling of confusion and absence of a classic ending in the story suggests a wonderful opportunity to run away from commercial cinema and turn to absurd cinema known nowadays as indie.
Mihura was a playwright, journalist and screenwriter, considered the main inventor of the Theatre of the Absurd, and the most outstanding comedian in Spanish language through the 20th century. Mihura wrote the scripts of more than twenty-five movies, among which stands out “Welcome Mr. Marshall”, a film directed by Luis García Berlanga in 1952.
