Diamond is not a woman’s best friend
A family of thieves is planning to rob some famous diamonds from a renowned noble family. The robbery is planned to the last millimeter. The occasion: the night of a huge party organized by the family. However, in the course of the robbery, one of the thief family members, a woman, is trapped inside the house. Then, an exchange is proposed: the diamonds for the woman. The situation gets more complicated when love happens between people from both sides.
RELEVANT FACTS: The tragic and comical situation that arises from the twists and turns of the story, one after the other, that frustrates the robbery attempt works marvelously on scene, for this reason it has become one of Casona’s most staged plays.
Casona was one of the most important Spanish writers of the 20th century. He lived between Spain and Latin America, where his work had a great success in cinema and theatre, especially in Argentina, where several movies about his work were produced. He received the Premio Nacional de Literatura and the Premio de Teatro Lope de Vega, among others.
