The story is set at the end of the 18th Century and at the beginning of the 19th Century, in the course of a long and unnerving voyage of discovery. The Alchemist’s Gaze retakes one of the oldest and most perturbing literature myths: the myth of the doppelgänger. This journey is based on scientific skepticism; its hero will go deep into territories where limits between reality and fantasy, sleep and wakefulness are vague.
