Irene had a lover but he abandoned her to become a priest. She married another man who did not take care of her to become a politician and try to become a minister taking advantage of a rebuilding. Moreover, her mother suffered infidelities from the father and probably caused the car accident in which both died. Irene has now become obsessive, inclined to fall in love, foul-mouthed and cynical. Irene starts seducing every man she sees and is unfaithful to her husband. The only one who resists is her ex-boyfriend, the priest. She is under the public eye in the whole city because her husband is an important public and political figure. This gives place to multiple intrigues.
