Don Draper’s prequel
This is the story of a middle-aged businessman that has to go fortnightly to New York to attend his business. However, he prefers going to a hotel in the city to be with his lover. The main character is a Don Draper (“Madmen”): he lives a double life with little excess, but he still takes care of his family. Luck is on his side until a little accident brings to light his true life.
RELEVANT FACTS: This play has received the support of the critics and the public within the commercial circuits of theatre. Premiered in Madrid in 2005 and starred by Carlos Larrañaga, it was a huge success.
Moncada has been a screenwriter and many of his plays have been taken to the big screen. He has won the Premio Nacional Calderón de la Barca in 1956 and 1963 (shared). He has also been awarded the Planeta Award.
