Magda Ventura has not had an easy life. She survived the attack in Afghanistan, but her partner was not so lucky. Now, her work is the only thing that gives her strength and she has stumbled upon what may be the most important case of her journalistic career.
Magda receives a call from a prostitute who claims to have some extremely important information. By the time she arrives to see her, the prostitute has died under strange circumstances. In trying to find out what happened, Magda discovers a dangerous international scheme. But Magda has no proof, so she must risk her own life to gather information.
In addition, Magda will have to deal with her current lover and her family, who have always considered her a black sheep.
When she manages to solve the case, life presents her with a new challenge. A young man has turned up dead and Magda suspects it is a murder perpetrated by a powerful pharmaceutical company. The only evidence is a burnt car and a diary with some incriminating notes.
As if that were not enough, Magda learns that an officer at the Spanish base in Afghanistan, one who was there during the attack in which she lost her husband, has been killed. The person responsible: a female soldier who is imprisoned in Malaga. Magda decides to go to see her in prison to find out more information, which will make her relive her past.
As Magda risks her life, she will discover one of the most powerful drug trafficking networks in the world. All this while trying to investigate the death of the young male guinea pig caused by the pharmaceutical company.
RELEVANT DATA: Jordi Sierra i Fabra is the most successful author of children’s and young adult literature, and one of the most important figures of the Spanish detective novel. He has published more than four hundred books and has reached sales figures that surpass ten million copies sold. His books have been translated into more than fifteen languages and have been adapted to theater and/or film on many occasions.

In this story Jordi Sierra i Fabra creates the character of Magda Ventura, a fearless journalist who crawls to the depths of society and will stop at nothing and no one to solve the case at hand, even if she risks her life for it.
The author is currently working on the third and fourth books, which complete this saga. The third part will be published in 2022 and the fourth part in 2024.
