Alexis Ravelo

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual agency of Ella Sher Literary Agency.

Alexis Ravelo is a Spanish writer who stands out in the field of crime novels, short stories, and micro-stories. He began studying Philosophy at UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia), and was also a student in the narrative workshops taught by Sebastian Quesada, Augusta Monterroso, and Alfredo Bryce Echenique.

He has also written theater plays and scripts for children’s television programs. He was a member of the Canarian Association of Writers, a co-founder of the literary magazine La Plazuela de las letras, and he has taught writing at the University of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.

He teaches literary workshops in various forums and academies, such as  La máquina del cuento, Factoría de Ficciones and Vidas Cruzadas.  Since 2013 he writes an opinion column in the digital newspaper: Canarias Ahora.

He is the winner of numerous awards, including the Getafe City Crime Fiction Award, the Hammett Award for Best Crime Fiction, the Tormo de Las Casas Ahorcadas Award, and the Café de Gijón Award..
