Beatriz de Vicente is a criminal lawyer, criminologist and writer.
She studied Law and Criminology at the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s degree in Criminal Investigation and Analysis; she is currently a doctoral candidate in Criminology at the University of Murcia and teaches Criminology and Criminal Phenomenology at the Camilo José Cela University. She is Dean of the College of Criminology of the Community of Madrid.
She actively participates in conferences as a specialist in violent and sexual crime, as well as a consultant for various Spanish television channels such as Antena 3 and La Sexta, among others.

Her first book is The Hole. The Story of a Killer (El agujero. Historia de un asesino), an investigation of what is known as the “fake Shaolin”, one of the most sinister cases of recent years in Spain. The book is not only an analysis from a police and legal perspective based on the judicial summary, but also contains a criminological and victimological perspective, in addition to the criminal profiling, forensic psychiatry, neurophysiology and psychology that surrounded the case.
