Volpi graduated in Law and Mexican Literature in the UNAM. He also has his PhD in Hispanic Studies at the Salamanca University.
He is one of the most relevant Mexican writers, and won several prizes all through his career. Critics consider Volpi as one of the most outstanding writers in the Mexican panorama, since he has enriched the Latin-American tradition.
RELEVANT INFORMATION
Among the many prizes he has won, the most important ones are: the 2018 Novel Alfaguara Award for his A Criminal Novel, the Literature Mazatlán Award in 2008, as well as the José Donoso Ibero-American Award in Chile.
