Mr. Eusebio, an office worker, suffers from the mortal boredom of his marriage to Mrs. Encarnita, always worried for insignificant stuff and the defense of the establishment. Luisito, their son, rebels towards the behavior of his parents, but he may repeat the same mistakes, if not saved by some calamity, or even by love. He is the main character of this novel where we will find costumbrismo, humor, and some social criticism.
